Andrew James & The Steady Tiger announce 2012 East Coast Tour


Andrew James & The Steady Tiger, the word class folk-rock duo from Cape Town will embark on a 2 week tour up the East Coast over the Easter holiday. 


The duo started attracting attention after they posted a video of a live performance on YouTube in 2011. They went on to record with producer Aron Turest-Swartz (Of Freshly Ground Fame) and featured alongside heavy weights such as Ard Matthews, Steve Newman and Farryl Purkiss at festivals such as they Cape Town Folk Festival.


It is a band of just two men. One playing drums & percussion and the other on guitar, lap slide guitar (guitar played flat on the lap), banjo and vocals. They create a full layered sound using effects, amps, and loops but retains a raw, organic and acoustic sound.

They will start in Knysna and play shows all the way up to Eshowe, North of Durban. They will be joined be various meastros along the way, such as Ben Badenhorst in Plett and Guy Buttery in Durban.
